Malha empowers communities with the tools they need to sense, decide, and act towards regenerative futures.

We help communities develop organisational and technical capabilities towards self-governance, local economic sovereignty, and ecological stewardship.

By bridging the resources of local governments, philanthropies and organisations with the emergent power of on-the-ground networks, we support the shift from top-down management to community-led regenerative development.

Our Approach

Building a regenerative future is about much more than new technologies or policies—it requires reimagining how communities organise, adapt, and thrive within their local ecosystems.

We focus on three essential capabilities that communities need for regenerative development:

Local Sensemaking

Tools and frameworks for communities to understand their context, map their resources, and envision their own futures.

Collective Governance

Systems that enable communities to make decisions, allocate resources, and manage shared assets.

Economic Sovereignty

Giving communities control over their economic flows and futures, enabling them to direct resources effectively.

COP 30

An opportunity for meaningful change

The first Amazonian COP will be a pivotal moment to demonstrate how empowered local communities can lead regenerative development. With our deep understanding of the Brazilian context, unique approach and established local relationships, we're helping organisations contribute meaningfully to this transition.

Our Services

Community Activation

We help communities grow their capabilities for self-organisation:

Weaving Networks

We help strengthen the social fabric that makes transformation possible by weaving together community members, aligned organisations, and local leaders.

Understanding the Context

We help communities surface and document the collective knowledge in their culture, lived experienced and place.

Mapping Assets & Needs

We guide communities through participatory mapping processes to understand their assets, needs, and opportunities.

Emergent Strategy

We support communities in imagining possible futures, developing clear visions, and creating adaptive strategies that evolve with changing conditions.

Systems Design & Implementation

We support communities in designing and implementing systems that enable collective choices, fair resource allocation, collective prosperity and shared accountability.

Impact Tracking

Through participatory evaluation frameworks, we help communities develop their own ways of measuring what matters to them, tracking progress, learning from experience, and sharing their stories of transformation.

Toolkit for Regenerative Development

A hands-on journey through the essential methods and tools for community-led transformation, including local activation, systems co-design and implementation.

Custom Programs

Every organisation’s context and needs are unique. We design tailored training programs that blend our core frameworks with your wisdom and specific goals. Programs include hands-on workshops, implementation support, and ongoing mentorship.

Strategic Support

We help organisations align their resources and capabilities with community-led regenerative development:

Grant Proposal Writing

Craft compelling proposals combining engaging narratives with robust impact frameworks to secure funding for your regenerative initiatives while staying true to your vision.

Project Planning and Strategy

Turning vision into reality requires clear pathways forward. We work with organisations to develop comprehensive, actionable plans that balance clear direction with emergent possibilities.

Implementation Support

The journey from concept to reality needs steady guidance. We provide hands-on support throughout implementation, helping navigate challenges, adjust approaches, and maintain momentum.

Workshop Facilitation

We create spaces for meaningful collective engagement through carefully designed participatory processes that develop shared understanding and spark coordinated action.

Stakeholder Outreach

Regenerative development thrives on strong relationships. We help organisations build authentic partnerships with communities, align with key stakeholders, and create networks of mutual support.

Research Dissemination

Every initiative creates valuable knowledge for the wider movement. We help capture insights, document progress, and share stories in ways that inspire action and inform policy.
